RedDoorz celebrated its 3rd anniversary last August 24th 2018. In an industry where competition is fierce and affordability and quality customer service are highly valued, RedDoorz managed to achieve steady growth and wide recognition in the hotel business in a short span of three years. Today, it is one of the fastest-growing hotel chains in Southeast Asia, expanding its reach from Indonesia to Singapore, Philippines, and Vietnam. The company commemorated this milestone with a celebration, this time in the Philippines.
Induction and New Office Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
The day started with an induction from each department that makes RedDoorz’s operations possible. The primary goal of the said activity was to familiarize every employee with the company’s systems and processes—from leads generation to business development to property management and beyond.
All eyes and ears were on the presenters from each department as they explained their work procedures, strengths, challenges, goals, accomplishments, and the value they bring to customers and the company. This allowed everyone in attendance to fully realize that although every department has its own unique function and output, each component needs to come together to form a comprehensive unit that allows the company to work like a well-oiled machine.
Stefanie Irma, country manager of RedDoorz Philippines, also gave a short message about RedDoorz’s journey and success. She thanked everyone for their contributions and also provided a background on how far the company has come from its humble beginnings back in 2015 to its unprecedented growth to date. She also expressed how proud she is to be a part of a company that is making its own mark in the Southeast Asian hotel scene, and working alongside people who are passionate about their jobs.
The induction lasted until the afternoon, with lunch and a couple of ice breakers in between to make the event more enjoyable. By the final hours of the day, all employees of RedDoorz Philippines took part in the ceremonial ribbon-cutting to also celebrate the opening of the Philippines’ headquarters office at the third floor of Polaris Center Building in Makati Avenue.
Rishabh Singhi, RedDoorz’ COO, along with Anu Gupta and Joachim Leong of Asia PR Werkz, were the ones who cut the ceremonial ribbon. To cap off the induction and ribbon-cutting ceremony, everyone gave an awesome toast for RedDoorz’ further success.
Come night time, employees gathered at the Society Lounge to continue the celebration. Clad in their best Great Gatsby-inspired outfits, everyone looked glamorous and fab. The event itself was also a nod to the roaring 1920s, an era known for lavish affairs and undeniably fun parties.
The program started off with a warm welcome from the hosts, Abbie Donato and Jerick Baluyot. Soon after, sumptuous dinner was served and shared by everyone, and a dance number prepared by some employees was performed to perk up the crowd.
One of the main highlights of the event was the awarding ceremony of RedDoorz’ Philippines best employees. Six individuals were recognized for their hard work, commitment, and contributions in helping the company with its organic growth and sustained profitability. They were Abbie Donato and Ron Olid of Business Development Department; DJ Pangilinan of Property Management Department; Mhel Capid of Telesales Department; Indra Jaya of Customer Service Department; and Jayson Mendoza of Human Resources Department. Each awardee was given a MacBook Air and a plaque of appreciation.
After the awarding ceremony, RedDoorz COO, Rishabh Singhi congratulated all the awardees and threw in some of his thoughts regarding the employee recognition. He noted that at RedDoorz there will be more recognitions, more opportunities, and more prizes in the future. He then encouraged everyone to stay hungry for success.
RedDoorz’ founder and CEO, Amit Saberwal, was also present in the event and had a few words to say about the company and its people in the Philippines. He noted that they have specifically chosen the Philippines over other Southeast Asian countries that have bigger economies as RedDoorz’ third host country because they believe in the Philippines’ story. He added that there are big opportunities for RedDoorz in the Philippines, since domestic travel is a growth industry in the country. This means more people seeking for quality yet affordable accommodations which RedDoorz aims to deliver. Mr. Saberwal also expressed his gladness in seeing that in just the span of 7 to 8 months, RedDoorz in the Philippines has grown exponentially and without any signs of stopping anytime soon.
To close his speech, the CEO commended the teams for the good work they have rendered. He also hoped that employees, especially the new ones, will find RedDoorz a great place to work in and will develop good working relationships with colleagues for life. More importantly, he encouraged all employees to work harder, have fun, and make the Philippines a bigger region than other RedDoorz regions.
Following the speeches, everyone enjoyed the rest of the night with photo ops, conversations with colleagues, good music, and a whole lot of drinks.
RedDoorz was founded in 2015 and is now the fastest growing budget hotel chain in Southeast Asia. The vision behind the company is to provide travelers an ecosystem that will enable them to discover branded budget accommodations throughout Southeast Asia with a promise of consistent high-quality services and a comfortable stay.
