At a time when the world is facing a global pandemic, it is important for us to stand united and mag #SamaSamaPH for a common cause, even if this means staying indoors and practicing social distancing. At this point in time, doing less will achieve more. Ensuring that you’re complying with Government-led initiatives, following basic health and safety advice and taking extensive precautions such as cleaning thoroughly, washing your hands properly, wearing a mask when out in public and eating right, are just some of the ways in which you can help play a part.
As part of #SamaSamaPH, and with the help of the Department of Tourism and Manila City Hall, RedDoorz launched its new “Red Heroes” initiative. This project is intended to help provide frontline healthcare workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic with a place to stay as hospitals and local authorities continue to treat and manage a growing number of cases.
The three hotels are located near UST Manila, Quiapo Church, and Quirino Station. These hotels were strategically selected and offered by RedDoorz due to their close proximity to the following Manila-based hospitals: Gat Andres Tondo, Hospital ng Tondo, Justice Abad Santos, Hospital ng Sampaloc, Hospital ng Manila, and Sta. Ana Hospital.
Our healthcare workers can now find a safe, clean, and comfortable place to stay without having to worry about a long commute to and from the hospital. In addition, health and wellbeing kits will also be distributed at select nearby hospitals in Manila. Each kit consists of Skin Can Tell’s washable face masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizers, Bacchus energy drinks, boxes of Salonpas, and droplet hats.
RedDoorz would also like to thank Mr. Charlie Dungo, OIC – Department of Tourism Culture & Arts of Manila / Protocol Officer – Office of the Mayor, for helping us get this effort off the ground to support our frontline healthcare workers.
